RENTAL TERMS
777 Rent a Car hereby rents Vehicle (including any replacement vehicle) to Renter subject to all terms and conditions on the front page and this page and Renter in consideration thereof agrees to them as the essence of the Agreement.
QUALIFICATION
Requirement: A valid driver license held for at least one year is required.
Renter’s or driver’s minimum age: 24 years old.
Minimum period: One day.
EXCESS TIME: Every hour in excess is calculated at 1/5 of daily rate.
TRAFFIC FINES: Tickets and attached administrative sanctions resulting from any violation of the Greek Law during rental period are borne solely by the renter.
AVAILABILITY: Car models are according to original planning. Delivery problems, however, may compel us to supply another vehicle in exceptional cases
INSURANCE
Rental rates include the following coverages:
a. Death or bodily injury to third party up to 1.300.000,00 €
b. Property damages to third party up to 1.300.000,00 €
In the event that additional drivers are not declared in the insurance policy due to non-payment of the corresponding premium, no insurance coverage shall apply. Consequently, any damages to the vehicle, as well as the related services, shall be borne entirely by the undeclared drivers.
In case of second or third drivers who are not declared in the contract due to non-payment, there will be no insurance coverage and they will have to cover the entire damage to the vehicle as well as the services.
COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER: The renter’s responsibility can be waived by paying daily 15€ for car groups AA, A, B, C and 30€ for the other groups.
Exclusions: Damages to the tyres, wheels, roof, interior, undercarriage and glass parts (including wind screen) are not covered.
EXTRA EQUIPMENT: Luggage rack or baby seat (upon request) are at an extra charge.
Deposit Amount: Deposits are estimated charges (days x daily rate) payable at the beginning of rental and adjustments are made on completion of rental. The minimum is 20€
Note: No deposit is required from Credit Card holders honored by 777 Rent a Car.
RESPONSIBILITY
The renter is responsible to pay all damages on the rented car.
FUEL: Fuel consumption is payable by the renter.
DELIVERY – COLLECTION
Airport, Corfu town and Port: 10euro delivery.
All other locations: from 30€ to 50€.
ACROSS THE BORDER RENTALS
Customers wishing to drive the car out of Corfu must have the advance authorization on the renting station of 777 Rent a Car.
FERRYING THE CAR: Cars cannot be ferried without the advance written authorization of 777 Rent a Car.
CONDITIONS OF USE
The Renter is expected to look after the vehicle carefully, to check its mechanical condition, oil, water, tires etc. Any repair of the vehicle by Renter himself or any other party designated by Renter is not allowed without Lessor’s prior consent.
Vehicle must not be used:
a. To carry persons or property for hire.
b. To propel or to tow any vehicle, trailer or other object.
c. In race, test or contest or following a Rally.
d. For subleasing by Renter to any third party.
e. While Renter or any other authorized driver is under the influence of alcohol, hallucinatory drugs, barbiturate, or any other substance impairing his consciousness or ability to react.
f. In contravention of any customs, traffic or other regulations.
g. By any person that Renter unless such person has been previously designated and authorized by 777 Rent a Car in the space provided on the front page of this agreement.
h. To transfer or carry heavy luggage or objects, inflammable materials, staining or badly smelling goods, materials, etc.
ACCIDENTS
In case of accident or any other incident (fire, theft etc.), Renter is responsible within 24 hours to follow the instructions set out below:
a. Call the Police.
b. Obtain names and addresses of eye witnesses.
c. Do not acknowledge third party claims.
d. Contact 777 Rent a Car immediately by phone or other means.
e. Obtain all relevant information from the third party or parties.
f. Complete and sign an accident report.
g. Send any other document or information relative to the accident to 777 Rent a Car.
JURISDICTION
Any and all disputes which may arise between Lessor and Renter will be settled before the competent courts of Corfu in Greece. In case of difference between the contracted parties, the Greek courts only will have jurisdiction.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The deposit is non-refundable (25%).
For all other payment methods, in case of cancellation, we retain the equivalent of one day rental.
CAR RULES
- Animals are not allowed in the car.
- No smoking
- Bottles, building materials, flammable materials, etc. are prohibited.
- We always use a beach towel after swimming in the sea.
- Sleeping in the vehicle is prohibited during the rental period.
- It is forbidden to rest your feet on the windshield or windows.
- Large quantities of grass clippings are prohibited.
- It is forbidden to open bottles on the gear lever.
- Suitcases must be identical to those displayed by the system.
In case of damage to cleanliness, there will be extra charges.
In case of a flat tire, there is a second spare tire in the back of the car and they visit the nearest gas station.
GREEK POLICE POLICY
- Parking at Corfu Port: €40 fine, unless payment is made at the port parking lot or insurance is provided.
- Parking in the city center: Fine from €20. Single Parking Station: €3-5.
- Riding a rented motorcycle without a helmet: Fine up to €350 per person and license suspension for 2 to 7 years.
- Drinking and driving: This is one of the most serious offenses.
- Accident under the influence of alcohol: Carries a prison sentence of up to 7 years.
- Speed limit: Maximum speed limit of 90 km/h on main roads.
- Payment of fines: Fines are paid at our agency in cash or by card (+24% charge).
